Chief Justice Megan Cavanagh has more than 15 years of experience practicing appellate law in Detroit and championing a justice system that is accessible, transparent, and centered on people. Elected to the Michigan Supreme Court in 2018, and elected Chief in 2025, she has led efforts to improve child welfare outcomes, strengthen legal representation for families, collaborate with tribal courts, and ensure that courts serve every community with fairness and dignity. Her career reflects a simple but powerful belief: justice should not be an abstract ideal—it should actively improve people’s lives.

Meet Justice Noah Hood
Justice Noah P. Hood is running to continue his service on Michigan’s highest court, bringing a deep respect for the law, a commitment to thoughtful judicial decision-making, and a lifelong dedication to the people of Michigan. In 2022, Hood was appointed to the Michigan Court of Appeals. where he authored numerous opinions on nearly every aspect of Michigan law, including search-and-seizure, juvenile justice, family law, zoning law, construction law, and no-fault. These decisions demonstrated a commitment to high-confidence facts and our rules-based order.
